Being a long-time believer in meditation I have dabbled in it for many years, signing up for courses when I can. Despite this interest, I have never been able to integrate meditation into my everyday routine. However, this short online course with Simply Meditation was different. Liz introduced me to a form of meditation that is accessible and not reliant on external tools. I love that with the skills that Liz has taught me, I can meditate whenever and wherever I need and want, maintaining a regular routine. As someone with little meditation experience and who isn’t great with technology, I was a bit nervous before doing my online mediation course. But Liz communicated clearly before our first session about how to set ourselves up and what to expect. And the tech was easy – just one click on my phone. The actual mediation style Liz practices is fantastic for me – uncomplicated, non-judgmental and achievable. And I love Liz’s teaching style. She is warm and encouraging, and completely without judgement. Liz gave me exactly the right amount of background information and instructions, so that I am able to practice confidently by myself. Liz’s follow-up support has also been great. I highly recommend this course!
My experience of learning to meditate with Liz was wonderful. Her technique is simple and very easy to implement into a busy routine. I thoroughly enjoyed all the sessions with Liz, she has such a calm, happy and positive energy. After the meditation sessions I felt calmer, more relaxed and able to focus better. I had tried meditation before but had relied on apps, headphones and good Wi-Fi to keep up my practice. All of which didn’t create a consistent practice. Working with Liz during her Simply Meditation workshop she demystified and simplified meditation so that I could practice anywhere, anytime. This mediation is easy to practice and effective. I have experienced a noticeable improvement in my well-being and improved quality of sleep since meditating on a regular basis. I have tried a number of different mediation practices in the past and this is the first one which has clicked with me. It is easy to practice and flexible so I can fit it into my busy work /life schedule.
I highly recommend Liz’s 3-day meditation course. The course is wonderful for anyone new to meditation or anyone wanting to reconnect with their practice. Liz’s 1:1 mediation program was a breath of fresh air for me. These mediation sessions with her from my home, with dogs barking and fighting, and TVs blaring in the background gave me the skillset I needed to be able to continue my practice on my own beyond our program. Liz’s super calm demeanor enabled me to open up and learn to accept my mind may be busy and the scene may not be perfect, but if you can recognise and come back to the practice it does become easier. Liz is a wonderful facilitator. I can’t describe how well she was received by the group of executive leaders, except to say that from the time she left everyone described their mental health at the commencement of their spiel, and used the continuum you set out. They all got so much out of your session in a practical.
Coaching with Liz has been one of the most professionally rewarding things that I have done. The space that Liz creates for me to safely explore issues, debrief and problem solve is greatly valued. The time in these sessions feels very precious, as there are not exceptions, which allows my brain to work through issues that have often been niggling at me for weeks. I always come away with new ideas of how to better support my team members (and myself).
